Led by #dayofpurpose Ambassador Diana Lynn Filo:

Diana began her career in education fifteen years ago in Baltimore where she taught 2nd grade. She continued her work in Baltimore as Teach For America staff member where she was in charge of coaching teachers who taught K-12 throughout the city. After Baltimore, she continued to coach and train new teachers from cities such as Atlanta, New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Hartford, and Philadelphia. She returned to the classroom in 2013, became an Assistant Principal and in 2016 she opened KIPP West Philadelphia Elementary Academy. In addition to her educational career Diana has worked as a Beachbody coach where she has helped women achieve their health and wellness goals by running online communities. In addition, she worked under Molly Mahar with Stratejoy to support over 100 women in a 10 month Reclamation Mastermind. Finally, Diana recently founded “Light from Darkness” and online event that encouraged men and women to share their stories of mental health. This event reached over 1,000 people and will continue to break the stigma of mental health for years to come.

We cannot take care of others unless we take care of ourselves. Diana has done this by supporting elementary school students, women seeking healthier lives, women seeking internal growth, and by supporting causes of Mental Health. In her spare time, you can find Diana cheering on Penn State football, enjoying time with her college friends, heading to NJ to see her niece and nephew, or down the shore enjoying the sun and sand.
